As the sixteenth anniversary of the IRIS Initiative approached last week, I decided to step out on faith and revive the IRIS campaign. This is especially timely, as next month marks Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

It's been a long time since my last blog, but I pushed back against what could have stopped me and used it to propel me to what's next.

Sometimes, you have to step back to move forward. But that wasn't my case. I had to set some things down to pick up more in the future. At the center of it was taking care of me so that I could take care of others.
